About the Role

San3a Academy is building a pool of Freelance Instructors to support current and upcoming learning experiences designed for adult learners and working professionals from different backgrounds such as educators, engineers, designers, developers, and technology enthusiasts.

Our programs focus on hands-on, applied learning in emerging technology domains, including:

  • Physical computing using ESP32 development boards

  • Internet of Things (IoT) using ESP32

  • Physical AI using ESP32 and TinyML

  • Digital fabrication and rapid prototyping

  • PCB Design using KiCad and fabrication using CNC Milling.

Selected candidates will first join a free Training of Trainers (ToT) program designed to equip them with the instructional approach, delivery methods, and technical alignment required for San3a Academy learning experiences.

After successfully completing the ToT and passing the evaluation process, instructors will join the San3a Academy instructor pool and may be assigned to deliver different learning experiences over time, based on their skills, strengths, and availability.

This is a teaching-focused role. We are looking for instructors who can translate technical concepts into meaningful, hands-on learning experiences and create engaging, practical, and supportive environments for adult learners.

What You Will Do:
  • Deliver and facilitate hands-on learning experiences following provided curricula and instructional guides

  • Adapt explanations, activities, and pacing to suit different learner backgrounds, experience levels, and learning needs

  • Engage learners actively through projects, questions, and guided exploration

  • Support learners through trial, error, and iteration in a positive and encouraging manner

  • Observe learner progress and provide timely guidance or troubleshooting

  • Collaborate with the education team and attend briefings or trainings when required

  • Provide clear and honest feedback on session progress and learner engagement

Work Model & Availability:

This is a project-based freelance role. There is no fixed weekly schedule.

Instructors are hired to San3a Academy’s instructor pool and are assigned to programs, courses, or workshops throughout the year based on program needs, instructor availability, and skill alignment.

Each assignment has its own timeline and session schedule, which will be shared in advance.

Who This Role Is For:

This role is suitable for instructors who:

  • Have strong technical skills in one or more of the program domains (ESP32 physical computing, IoT, TinyML/Physical AI, PCB design and fabrication, or digital fabrication)

  • Can demonstrate a solid portfolio of hands-on projects relevant to these domains

  • Enjoy working with adults and professionals from diverse backgrounds

  • Are comfortable teaching in hands-on, project-based learning environments (online and/or offline)

  • Can explain technical ideas clearly without overcomplicating them

  • Value patience, curiosity, and learner-centered teaching

Requirements

Instructional & Teaching Skills:
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring, training, or facilitating learners (formal or informal)

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and explain them clearly for adult learners with different backgrounds

  • Strong facilitation and learner engagement skills

  • Comfort managing group dynamics and maintaining a positive learning environment

  • Willingness to reflect on and continuously improve teaching practice

  • Understanding device communication, data flow, and basic cloud integration

Physical AI / TinyML

  • Basic machine learning concepts

  • Running inference on microcontrollers (TinyML)

  • Experience with tools such as Edge Impulse, Teachable Machine, or similar workflows

Digital Fabrication & Rapid Prototyping

  • 3D printing, laser cutting, or CNC workflows

  • Basic CAD design (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Tinkercad, or similar)

  • Prototyping physical enclosures or mechanical components for electronic projects

PCB Design And Fabrication

  • Solid experience in electrical/electronic circuit design.

  • Solid experience in BOM selection and reading datasheets.

  • Solid experience in designing single and double layers PCBs using KiCad.

  • Design enclosures for PCBs using Fusion360 or SolidWorks is a plus.

  • Familiarity with PCB fabrication using CNC milling machines is a plus.
