Project Overview


EduMakers is part of Nur Tech, a 3-year educational initiative funded by the Drosos Foundation, and led by San3a Academy aiming to transform STEM education in Egypt by building educator capacity and creating sustainable innovation ecosystems.

San3a Academy is seeking experienced and highly motivated Hub Coordinators to lead and manage our physical learning hubs in Cairo and Aswan. The Hub Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day running of the hub, ensuring that the space, equipment, instructors, and teachers operate in harmony to deliver a smooth, high-quality learning experience for educators and their students.



Role Overview


The Hub Coordinator oversees operations, schedules, people, and resources. This role requires close collaboration with instructors, teachers, and the project team to ensure that training sessions, machine usage, and student visits are well-coordinated, well-documented, and aligned with Nur Tech’s educational and safeguarding standards.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who is organized, proactive, comfortable in maker/technical environments, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.



Key Responsibilities


1. Hub Operations & Coordination

  • Oversee the daily operation of the hub and ensure it is fully functional, organized, and safe at all times.

  • Manage hub schedules, including:

    • Teachers’ training sessions.

    • Teachers’ time slots for using machines.

    • Visits where teachers bring their students to work in the hub.

  • Act as the main on-ground point of contact between the hub, instructors, teachers, and the Nur Tech project team.

  • Ensure full compliance with San3a Academy’s safeguarding, child protection, and safety protocols.

2. Training & Instructor Support

  • Coordinate and support on-ground teacher training sessions.

  • Work closely with instructors to ensure sessions are technically and logistically prepared.

  • Support instructors during sessions by ensuring tools, machines, and materials are ready and available.

  • Observe training flow and flag any operational or human risks to the project team.

3. Inventory & Technical Readiness

  • Manage hub inventory, including tools, machines, consumables, and kits.

  • Ensure inventory is sufficient and request replenishment when needed.

  • Coordinate machine usage to avoid conflicts and downtime.

  • Ensure all workstations and machines are ready and safe for use before each session.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of:

    • Teacher attendance and hub usage.

    • Training sessions and machine utilization.

  • Submit regular reports covering operational status, challenges, and needs.

  • Capture organized photo and video documentation (via mobile) for reporting and project archives.

5. Communication & Coordination

  • Maintain professional and clear communication with teachers, instructors, and internal teams.

  • Escalate operational, technical, or human-related issues in a timely and responsible manner.

  • Participate in coordination and feedback meetings with the Nur Tech project team.

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination, hub/lab management, educational programs, or community-based initiatives (professional or structured volunteer experience).

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Availability:

    • Ability to commit consistently to the project schedule (on-ground presence is essential).

  • Operational Skills:

    • Proven experience in inventory tracking and basic logistics.

  • Technical Literacy:

    • Comfortable using Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.

    • Familiarity with maker spaces, labs, or technical learning environments is a strong plus.

  • Communication Skills:

    • Strong ability to communicate with educators, instructors, and internal teams.

  • Soft Skills:

    • High level of responsibility, organization, and reliability.

    • Ability to multitask, anticipate problems, and respond calmly to unexpected situations.

    • Collaborative mindset and respect for educational and safeguarding standards.
