Sahar Moussa

My name is Sahar Mohamed Moussa, and I graduated from Cairo University's Faculty of Engineering, Systems & Biomedical Engineering Department in 1994. I have a deep love for children and a passion for programming, which I've integrated into my professional, social, and family life, including raising my own children. I hold a BSc in Systems & Biomedical Engineering from Cairo University (Class of 1994) and a Diploma in Educational Leadership from the American University in Cairo (AUC) (2018). I am a partner at Robogarden Canada, an online school dedicated to teaching coding. Currently, I serve as the Executive Manager of Smart Solutions Company, a company specializing in interactive media software development located in Media Production City. I founded Logic Club in 2011 to introduce children to the exciting world of robotics, coding, and basic electronics through circuitry. Prior to my current roles, I worked as an IT Specialist at Nilesat, the Egyptian Satellite Company.

My Journey

I prioritized raising my children, believing in the importance of focusing on life's different stages. This decision, while drawing some criticism for not immediately pursuing a corporate engineering career after graduating from Cairo University's Systems & Biomedical Engineering program in 1994, allowed me to support my husband, a telecommunications engineer, part-time. This kept me connected to the engineering field and allowed for continued learning while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I applied the analytical skills gained from my studies in programming and artificial intelligence—fields that develop logical, critical, and creative thinking, and problem-solving—to raising my children, nurturing their diverse skills from an early age and contributing to their academic and personal success.

As my children began attending school, I had more time for professional pursuits. This led to starting my current project on a small scale with local charities, my children, and their friends. This initial success led me to establish my own organization in 2011, dedicated to teaching children programming, robotics, and other engineering concepts, based on the pillars of education, mental development, and play—the same successful methods I used with my own children.

I have three sons: one, an engineering graduate of the American University in Cairo, now works at Kearney in Dubai; another, a Mathematics and Physics graduate of UCL London with a master's from Oxford, runs his own business in Egypt; and the youngest is currently studying Actuarial Science at the American University in Cairo.

In 2015, as my organization expanded, I appointed an educational director (Mai Salah), an administrative director (Rania Salah), and an operations manager (Amani Hassan) to maintain our high standards. My childhood fascination with scientific reading, taking things apart, and understanding how machines worked inspired me to create this organization, providing opportunities for children to develop their talents under the guidance of specialized engineers.

Teaching kids Technology in a fun and interesting way, while paying attention to the moral and pedagogical aspects and character building.

Logic Club was established in 2011 to teach Robotics, Coding & Electronic Circuits for different ages 5 to 18 years old.

Our Vision

To bring an enlightened future led by our awakened youth who positively contribute to the community with their knowledge and strong-based core values.

Our Mission

To creatively deliver educational concepts to kids in a fun and simple manner ensuring they fully grasp them. From there we give them the space to critically think and add their input to come up with their own innovative solutions.
